InnovatED is honored to share the Vietnamese translation of the Harvard AI Code of Conduct, a proposal originally developed by students and faculty at Harvard University’s metaLAB. With permission from metaLAB, this resource is now accessible to educators, students, and policymakers in Vietnam.
First presented to the Harvard administration in 2023, the Code of Conduct explores how generative AI can be integrated into higher education responsibly. It outlines principles for transparency, academic integrity, and ethical use of AI in classrooms, offering guidance for both students and teachers as they navigate a rapidly changing technological landscape.
By making this resource available in Vietnamese, InnovatED hopes to bring global best practices into local conversations. Our goal is to support educators and school leaders in Vietnam as they reflect on questions such as: How should students use AI in their coursework? How can policies encourage creativity while preventing misuse? And what role should schools play in preparing learners for an AI-driven world?
This translation marks an important step in ensuring that Vietnamese voices are included in the international dialogue about AI and education. We believe that conversations about responsible AI use must be contextualized, grounded in local cultures, systems, and values, while also learning from global experiences.
